Fitness Through Movement
Run by Limerick City DEPS, Fitness Through Movement is a unique lifestyle intervention programme. It not only creates opportunities for improving physical activity and healthier lifestyles, but also addresses lifestyle topics such as; smoking, alcohol and drugs, sexual health, first aid and positive mental health.
DEPS Work in Educational Settings
We design and deliver four to six hour long tailor-made programmes to students and also occasionally provide one-off information sessions to students who are engaging in school projects relating to the drugs issues in the following settings.
In Schools:
- 2nd and 3rd Year students
- 5th Year Leaving Cert students
- 6th Year LCA students.
In Other Education Settings
- Youthreach LCA students
- VTOS adult learners.
Summer Camps
Our children’s summer camps are run in partnership with SMILE SCP ( schools completion programmes. The schools completion programme is an initative of the Department of Education and Skills aimed at reducing the number of young people who leave school early.
Third Level Bursaries
We provide support to students transitioning to third level or further education.
